Thirty-eight works created by John Stark students were recognized by The Scholastic Art Awards of NH (SAANH), a regional visual arts affiliate of the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. SAANH offers early regional and national recognition of creative young people. Award winning artists are selected by professional artists in New Hampshire who are experts in their creative field.
Four students were honored with Gold Keys in Ceramics & Glass: Elise Armitage, Mercy Brooks, Ali Burkhamer, and Alex Johannisson. Two Gold Keys were awarded in Photography: Lily Jensen and Aiden Moser. A Gold Key in Drawing and Illustration was awarded to Mia Paveglio and a Gold Key in Painting was awarded to Kayla Houle.
Silver Keys were awarded in Ceramics and Glass to Kira Bergeron Mercy Brooks, John Henderson, CJ Macdaid, Chris Metcalf, Rylee Ladoux and Brett Schrankel. In Drawing and Illustration, Silver Keys were awarded to: Jamie Payson, Lillian Ruoff, Spencer Ryan, and Alison Wright. In Photography, Tobin Cocuzzo, Lily Jensen, Aiden Moser, Shaelyn Tassi and Noah Young were awarded Silver Keys.
Honorable Mention in Ceramics & Glass went to Quinn Antle, Sydney Nelson, and Brenna Hopkins. Alex Johannisson took two Honorable Mention Awards in Ceramics & Glass. In Drawing and Illustration, Honorable Mention Awards went out to Payton Tague, Elizabeth Downing, Kathryn Janelle, and Alison Wright took two Honorable Mention Awards. Mia Paveglio was awarded Honorable Mention for Painting and in Photography, Honorable Mention Awards went to Kasey Arnold, Tobin Cocuzzo, and AJ Corbett.
