JANUARY 31 - Civil Engineer and JS alumna, Bryanne Campbell will share her path in engineering and her current role at the NH Dept of Transportation. She will be joined by HR who will speak about other opportunities with the DOT.
FEBRUARY 21 - WKXL Radio host, Chris Ryan, will be here to discuss his broadcasting background with interviewing presidential hopefuls, senators and governors on his popular radio show. He has also worked with the LA Kings as a hockey analyst and currently hosts a weekly local sports radio show with the NBA's Matt Bonner.
The General Hawks hockey team improved to 8-1-1 after defeating Moultonborough/Inter-Lakes by a score of 7-2. Defenseman Jake Cole opened the scoring with a sweet rush that featured a spin-o-rama at the blue line and ended with a snapshot putting the puck in the net. He also added an assist on the night. Noah Chapman had a goal and two assists and Brett Patnode had a goal and an assist to round out the scoring. Jamo Bourque had 15 saves in net. The team returns home to face reigning state champion Kennett this Saturday at 5:00 pm. This is a huge tilt so we would love to fill the barn once again. Tickets are just $1 for students. It's that time of year again. On Wednesday night, Tri-M Music Honor Society will hold their annual John Stark Idol singing competition. Come see seven John Stark students compete to win the Golden microphone and be crowned "John Stark Idol." This event will be held at 7 pm in the cafeteria. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. Proceeds go towards the Spring Performing Arts trip to NYC. There will be a 50/50 raffle and refreshments at intermission.
On Saturday, January 13th the General Hawks hockey team defeated Sanborn by a score of 8-3. Sophomore Brett Patnode led the team to a victory with five points (two goals, three assists). Noah Chapman had two goals and an assist, Jake Cole had one goal, one assist, Cabot Lineberry had a goal, and Tyler Scordo had an assist to round out the scoring. Jamo Bourque had 13 saves in net.
On Saturday, January 20th the General Hawks hockey team tied Berlin in an epic tilt that saw tremendous amounts of action. The team was led by Brett Patnode who had two goals and one assist. His final goal of the game came with just a minute left to tie the game. Noah Chapman also contributed a goal and two assists. Jamo Bourque had 22 saves in net.
The team returns to the ice tomorrow at home versus Moultonborough/Inter-Lakes. The game is at 6:15 and tickets are just $1 for students. Thanks to our fans for all your support.
