In yesterday’s Cross Country meet, Bow girls had home course advantage, but the Lady Generals fought hard, with several of our girls running their best times and the best strategic team race of the season.

We tied Bow in regular scoring, with 28 points each. Unfortunately, the tie breaker was in Bow’s favor. Top 5 finishers for Stark were Haleigh Bilodeau, Laura Martin, Madison McDonald, Hailey Erskine, and Katie Brennan.

In the boys’ race, Stark boys also put together an excellent team race and grabbed second place after Bow, but beating out Manchester West and Pembroke.

Brandon Langdon took first place overall, and several of our boys had their best race times of the season. Other top finishers for Stark were Jack Hagan, Collin Astholz, Owen Payeur, and Erik Hilyard

The John Stark Girls Soccer team came out on fire versus Milford.
They dominated the field and played an outstanding game keeping control of the ball, sending balls wide and through the middle and playing with such Intensity and passion. With a goal by Cady Loos roughly 12 minutes in and a second by Chelsea Woodsum in the 35 minute, the girl showed how they can play when they set their mind to it. A late goal by Milford ended the game. John Stark 2- Milford 1  but girls totally owned the game.

The John Stark boys JV soccer team ties Souhegan 3-3.  Nathan Isabelle played very well for John Stark with a goal and an assist. Cameron Doyle and Joseph L'Heureux each had a goal, while Emmet Rinehimer had two assists for the Generals.

Despite going down two zero the girls came back taking total dominance of the field with Mg Blanchette putting in a header and Cara Easter a free kick. A third from Lexi Knapton was in the cards but not from the referees view so girls settled for a 2-2 tie.
Great comeback

At the 43rd Manchester Invitational Race on Saturday, despite the heat and the tough course, John Stark Cross Country runners had many fine performances, including two outstanding races:

Brandon Langdon placed 9th out of 260 runners in the Boys’ Varsity Race.

And in the Girls’ Freshman Race, Madison McDonald took 8th place out of 100 runners.

John Stark came out slow and Hanover took advantage with lots of pressure until after 22 minutes they put one away. This inspired JS to pick up the intensity but they couldn't quite finish. Second half Stark came out pushing forward and taking charge of the field but couldn't quite get a good finishing touch on the run ons or shots. After 20 minutes or so Stark gave up a couple of corners to Hanover who eventually took advantage and put a second away. John Stark Girls Soccer 0 Hanover 2

Art Club will not meet this week. See you on Thursday, Oct 5th.
